Benefits of joining Friends of Taka Sumi-e
Workshops, museum field trips, outdoor field trips to sketch and paint in nature, potlucks, holiday parties, and the annual art show and fashion show at San Diego beautiful Balboa Park are just some of the opportunities students have to expand their knowledge of sumi-e and to enjoy socializing with fellow students.

Annual Membership Fee Deadline
Yearly membership, which runs from October to the following September, is $20. To join or renew your membership, complete the Membership Registration Form above and mail the form and your check to:

2022 Workshops & Events
Friends of Taka Sumi-e society workshop meetings are held the first Saturday of every month, September through May, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. A brief FOT membership meeting follows the workshop, 11:30 am to Noon.

Friends of Taka Sumi-e society workshop meetings are held the first Saturday of every month, September through May, in Room 104, Casa del Prado, Balboa Park, 9:00 am to 11:30 am. A brief FOT membership meeting follows the workshop, 11:30 am to Noon.
Please bring your own tea mug. Hot water and tea are provided. A potluck is voluntary. (Alternative locations to Room 104 will be announced.)
